Night of the museums

The local Academy of Fine Arts decided to advertise the opening of new faculties. They were looking for a way to show their creative potential and collaborate with local museums and the private sector. The main question was how to stand out from the rich offer of the Szczecin Night of Museums and focus people and the media on your message.

We came up with the idea of creating a 3D reconstruction of the Horse Market, where the main building of the Academy is located. Our artists took the datum and construction grids from images from 1588 and recreated the look of the place in the Unreal Engine. Then it was converted to the fulldome format and prepared for playback in the VR Dome placed on the square. The guests entered the dome for 3 minutes, watched a movie, and then the next group was invited inside.

Results 

There were over 1,000 visitors in the dome during one night, and queues were present all the time. The local media was attracted by the fact that it was a technological novelty and a historical reconstruction of urban space. The Academy of Art and the Museum received the attention needed to spread the word about their new faculties. The guests were enthusiastic about the idea and the feedback was very positive.
